Commerce-Cleveland High School Alumni Association

A Brief Bit of History

In the mid 1990's, a group of committed Commerce High School alumni from the `930's and 1940's formed a committee whose stated purpose was to raise money to offer scholarships to deserving Cleveland High School graduating seniors. Over the years, they have been able to create a sizeable fund which had generated proceeds to support several scholarships each year.

In 2001, another committee was formed to raise money to fund the building of a "state of the art" fitness center at Cleveland High School. This task was accomplished and the facility was named the "Ed Warren Fitness Center" in honor of a former teacher/coach who invested over 30 years working with CHS young people.

These two groups have since joined forces to form the Commerce-Cleveland High School Alumni Association. The goals of this new group are to support Cleveland High School, to assist CHS students and faculty in attaining their academic goals, and to assist CHS with needed facility improvements
